Frequently Asked Questions
-
Many people notice shifts within the first few sessions, with meaningful improvements typically emerging within 2–3 months of consistent weekly sessions. As you grow, we can adjust the frequency to every other week or monthly for ongoing support.
-
Sessions are $200 for 50 minutes (a therapeutic hour). You can submit for reimbursement from your insurance plan by submitting a monthly superbill. On average, out-of-network benefits cover up to 70-80 percent of costs but this varies with individual plans.
Using your HSA and FSA accounts is also another way to manage costs.
-
Group counseling presents you with multiple benefits not seen with individual work. It provides a sense of community and accountability. It provides a sense of safety in social situations, and the chance to practice coping and communication skills “in the real world”
Group therapy is one of my favorite therapeutic modalities because of the huge growth curves seen with the power of community! I wish that insurance companies would get smart and start covering group therapy costs. Unfortunately, they often do not.
This is an opportunity to invest in your growth, however.
As such, group therapy will be offered soon—because this is such an effective a modality and so close to my heart!

I am paneled with AETA and will submit claims to this insurance on your behalf.
Like many specialized therapists, I am what’s considered an out-of-network (OON) provider with other insurance companies. This means that patients pay for appointments up front and their insurance companies reimburse them monthly.
You are also welcome to use your HSA/FSA card to pay for therapy.
-
How to determine your Out-Of-Network (OON) coverage:
Step 1. Call number on the back of your insurance card for members benefits.
Step 2. Request an eligibility and benefits check for out of network coverage, specifically for mental health coverage.
Step 3: Confirm your ID number, the person receiving services first and last name (if that is yourself then your first and last name), and the person receiving services Date of Birth.
Step 4: Provide the following information—
Therapist’s first and last name (Melissa Tully)
Billing code: 90837 (which is a regular therapeutic hour)
Step 5: Ask for the following information-
Do I have Out of Network Benefits?
What is my deductible?
How much of my deductible has been met?
What is my percentage of reimbursement?
How much can I expect to be reimbursed based on a fee of $200 dollars?
Wondering if therapy will help?
If you're even considering therapy, that's your inner wisdom speaking—trust it. Most people find that having a safe space to process their thoughts and feelings leads to greater clarity, gentler self-compassion, better coping skills, and more confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
Is this where you belong?
When choosing a counselor, the best advice is this: listen to yourself. After a 15-minute consultation, you will know if we’re meant to walk together on your healing journey.
